MCaFHNA Rules

At the Conference in Canberra in May 2013, the name of the association changed from the 'Australian Association of Maternal, Child and Family Health Nurses' (AAMCFHN) to 'Maternal Child and Family Health Nurses Australia' (MCaFHNA). This change in the name of an association required amending the rules of the association. These new rules were adopted on 23 April 2013.

Every incorporated association must have rules. The rules:

  • are a written document
  • guide how our association operates
  • are a contract between the association and its members
  • set out our association's purposes
  • list the rights and responsibilities of members and office holders.

Members should know the rules and they have the right to inspect the rules.
