Representation & Advocacy

MCaFHNA aims to influence policy and practice in the area of maternal, child and family health nursing through advocacy activities. These include representation on strategic committees, partnerships with organisations and developing policy and practice which aims to improve maternal, child and family health (MCaFH) outcomes and/or promote MCaFH nursing.

Professional Standards

After many years of research and collaboration, MCaFHNA developed standards for practice as a guide for clinical practice, education, and research. These standards can be accessed from our website (see Professional Development – Professional Standards).

Guidelines / Position Statements 

We develop guidelines and position statements relevant to our practice.

Submissions

As the peak body for maternal, child and family health nursing, we provide input into consultations and may provide these as written submissions.
