Dr Louise Wightman

Louise Wightman, RN, RM Ba Nursing, Master of Learning Management, PhD.

Louise currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Child and Family Health in a regional health service.

Louise has worked as a Nurse, Midwife and Child and Family Health nurse in various regional, rural and remote nursing and community services in QLD, WA and NSW.

Louise has a keen interest in research related to parenting, education and the health and wellbeing of families and recently completed a Doctor of Philosophy focused on quality and competence in the specialist practice of child and family health nursing.

She commenced as a board member of MCaFHNA Inc in 2015 and was the President of MCaFHNA Inc from 2018-2020. She has been the current Chair of MCaFHNA since 2021 and has represented MCaFHNA at national forums and strategic working groups.
